Did you peak at 18?

September 20, 2011 1 Comment

Well, we sure hope not…

Did you peak at 18? Or are we crazy?

Because let’s face it ladies, there are a lot of good years left. Modern medicine, advanced exercises, and healthier diets are going to give you the opportunity to look amazing well into your 50s and 60s.

That’s a long time.

That means many more years of hard work, more years of making men’s heads turn, and PLENTY more years of taking pictures that WILL go on Facebook. So…beginning to neglect your appearance in your early twenties…is probably not a good idea.

Let me play devil’s advocate for a minute…or even, the devil…

When you were 18, here’s what you could IGNORE and get away with:

1. Eating properly
2. Exercise
3. Social Skills
4. Stress management

We know…you ate whatever you want, you played sports or participated in gym class when you felt like it, you talked to people of your choosing and formed your own cliques, and your stress was limited to what jeans to wear and/or when to study for your history test.

Life was easy, and you were lazy. It was a beautiful time.

Unfortunately, that’s all in the rear view.

Enter your twenties and beyond… You can look forward to a job, more responsibility, the search for a viable life partner, more meaningful life-goals, the effects of gravity, wrinkling skin, and a slowing metabolism.

It sucks, we know.

So here’s what you CAN’T IGNORE now that you ARE NO LONGER 18:

1. Eating properly
2. Exercise
3. Social Skills
4. Stress management

Listen, this stuff really isn’t that complex ladies…

A lot of women your age have figured out this equation and have managed to maintain or enhance their natural talent. That prom dress still fits.

This is all because they have made a commitment to the four items listed above. Outliers do exist, but they are far and few.

Adopting better habits and embracing reality are the first two things you must address to maintain your long-term appearance…Read this and this. Eighteen was a long time ago, so for your sake, get to work.
